Dr. Nancy Swedin grew up on a small hobby farm near Elysian, Minnesota. She received her B.S. in Medical Technology in 2001 and worked for a number of years as a medical technologist at various facilities within the Mayo Health System. Once her children became older, she had the opportunity to go back to school to pursue her dream of a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 and began working at a mixed animal practice with locations in Waseca and Mankato. In 2013 she became an adjunct professor and taught a number of classes in the Veterinary Technology program at Rochester Community and Technical College before beginning full time here at All Pets.

Dr. Swedin has a strong interest in dentistry, endocrine diseases, and anesthesia. While she enjoys the day to day work with cats and dogs, she has also developed an appreciation for the smaller, more exotic critters and relishes the opportunity to work with reptiles, lizards, birds, rabbits, and unusual pocket pets.

Dr. Swedin currently lives in Mapleton with her husband, Greg, and 3 of their 5 children, Bryant, Hazel, and Gordy. They share their home with two miniature schnauzers, Pepper and Archie, and a golden retriever, Frankie. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and running and takes every opportunity to visit Target Field to cheer on the Twins. She is thrilled to be a member of the All Pets team and is looking forward to working with our clients and their furry, feathery or scaly companions!!
